So, the universe sometimes just wants to remind you that you can't have everything you want. Ok, I get it - fine.
Short version is that about half of us got a cold. It's awful. It's floored me. And it's not even COVID (I know, I tested). I actually forgot the regular flu still exists (kind of offended by this).
So.... there is no one left who can table for us at the Hamilton Zineposium. I'm actually hearbroken.
Maybe next year .... if we get lucky to get accepted again.
This is a literal dream!! We've been hoping, planning, targeting to one day be a vendor at the Hamilton Zineposium! And finally, the time comes!
We're psyched to get going for this event and, thankfully, have a nice roster of things from PaperJam. Time to get up and dust ourselves off.
So, if you are in the Hamilton, Ontario, area this November If you are in the Toronto, Ontario, area this April, take a stroll to the Hamilton Public Library for a free, delightfully artistic, zinetastic event where you can find our little group with a collection of zines, prints, and other delights to share.
What an delight! We were super keen to do an interactive art component, in the same vein as the Hamilton James st. N. Art Crawls back in the day. We got lucky that someone was going to discard a cardboard easel paper board. Had infinite colourful sticky notes on hand. Felts. And some prompts.
Such a fun time, seeing people get into it.
At the end of the day, I think we managed to get 2 full stories (i.e. 10 stickies, which was what the board allowed at a time) and 1-2 full sets of drawings. What should we do with them? Maybe if we get into PaperJam next year, we can bring them back for fun?
Overall, was a wonderful time, great snack and blessed coffee, good company! Shout-out to all the lovely tables we shared the space with!

Threading? Washing? Drying? Coming up with leud vegetable alliterations?

Mystery, intrigue, spice ... not just your mundane Friday.
It can't possibly be just a coincidence (though it is) that the October 2023 Art Crawl fell on Friday the 13th (but it definitely is, though).
If you were at the infamous Art Crawl at Hamilton's James St. N. you would have come across the rare opportunity to nab yourself a delightfully mild-mannered fortune and (for the bold among us) a mild-mannered misfortune~~~ Or, I guess you could've spared yourself ... whichev.
It isn't Art Crawl without some sort of interactive, creative, endeavour that engages the passer-by. Whether you're a seasoned artists, a newbie, or you don't consider yourself an artist at all - it doesn't / shouldn't matter (to us, anyway).
Due to the ever-evolving space of James St. N. on a given Crawl night, we started on a wall, migrated to a pole, and then ended back on the wall (woop!)
