Artword Artbar Zineposium 2015

On a stormy Saturday afternoon, the AA attended the free Artword Artbar Zineposium in downtown Hamilton. Located right at the corner of James St. and Cobourn, the day was bustling with zine-ists and zinethusiasts despite the rain and wind that lasted forever!!!

AA had a small round table for our most recent spring and summer issues, as well as some zines dating back to our first one in 2011! We spoke to many zinesters and the enthusiastic owners/organizers of the event itself - Judith and Ron.

There was a bit of a scramble in the beginning since we came in a touch late to set up.

But everything worked out in the end and we had a blast!
We ended the stormy night with a little meeting to discuss the next theme for the fall, along with some tasty coffee and brownies at the Baltimore House. A little bit of doodling helps get the creative juices flowing (the caffeine helped too).

We thought it was such a neat idea that the Baltimore House had doodle books lying around for their customers to use :D

Thanks for stopping by!

This issue's theme was: Picnic Basket!

"What do you have in your picnic basket this summer? I hope it's not a knife wielding pirate bird...Will it be a stack of hotdogs? Ants having a feast?! An eternal dark void that is scary on the outside but really is just fuzzy and likes strawberry tea on the inside?"

Thanks to our awesome contributors for coming together and filling up this issue:

Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) 2015

Artists Anonymous is at At TCAF 2015!

What an awesome free event! So glad to see that the festival has kept its character and Toronto feel.

We're meeting artists from all over the world: Germany, Finland, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong!

Rest in peace wallets.

We're also leaving our mark around the fest, give us a shout if you picked up a copy of our zine!

Love,

Zine making always involves food, and with the weather getting a little warmer, we're hoping it will also involve more friends.

Spring, Sprang, Sprung

We will be publishing our Spring Issue! The theme:

Patterns

So, submit us an image/prose and a pattern!

Like the speckles on the eggs of a white breasted nuthatch, or the patterns of cigarette butts on the streets awakening from their frozen slushy slumber!

Remember the words:

spring

and

life

...in your creations!
